The Iowa Center for the Book honored 18 student readers from across Iowa as winners and honorable mentions for the 2018 Iowa Letters About Literature awards program at a ceremony on Friday, April 27 at the Urbandale Public Library.
Iowa students submitted 1,750 letters total, a 9 percent increase over the previous year, where they went through two rounds of judging in Washington DC before being sent back to Iowa for a final round of judging.
Recordings are now available from the All Iowa Reads Webinar on Jan. 24 and the All Iowa Kids Read and All Iowa Young Adults Read Webinar on Feb. 21.
The Iowa Center for the Book has officially launched 2018 All Iowa Reads program along with two brand new programs for Kids and Young Adults.
The book has been selected by the Iowa Center for the Book as Iowa’s title for the 2017 National Book Festival’s Discover Great Places through Reading Map.
