Friends of the Maquoketa Public Library continues it series of book discussions centering around strong characters who influence the people and events around them in a positive, even heroic, way. Stones for Schools, by Greg Mortenson, will be the subject under discussion Tues., Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.; Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society, by Mary Ann Shaffner and Annie Barrows will be discussed on Tues., March 23, at 7 p.m.
