The library will hold its 16th annual All Iowa Reads Book Discussion on Thursday, April 5, at 7:00 p.m., in the library large meeting room. The 2018 All Iowa Reads selected title is The Boys in the Bunkhouse: Servitude and Salvation in the Heartland by Dan Barry. Books are available at the library, and everyone is invited and encouraged to take part in this community-wide discussion. We are delighted to welcome back George Minot as our discussion leader this spring! He is a writer and English instructor and resides in Iowa City. The Boys in the Bunkhouse is a true story, set in Iowa, and is sure to lend itself to an engaging discussion. If you haven't joined in a book discussion before, this is the perfect opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, meet new people, and share ideas with some friendly folks from our community. Everyone is welcome at this free event! For more information, call the library: 515-465-3569.
