Established in 2003, the All Iowa Reads program is one of the first projects to be provided by the Iowa Center for the Book.
The purpose of All Iowa Reads is to foster a sense of unity through reading. We encourage Iowans statewide to come together in their communities to read and talk about a single book title in the same year. Libraries, book clubs, schools and other local organizations are encouraged to sponsor discussions of the title. Please use this site for information as you read and study the book. We offer a wealth of materials including book reviews, discussion questions, author bios, and publicity materials to help you prepare successful discussions.
Click the Program Resources link below each title to access resources to support discussion groups at your library, including discussion questions, author bios, links to reviews and interviews, customizable promotional materials, and more!

2022 All Iowa Reads Exploring the Shortlists Webinar
Tuesday, Mar. 22, 2022 | 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m.
This webinar will introduce you to the 2022 All Iowa Reads shortlists. You'll hear booktalks and read-alike selections for the books on the adult list from Leslie Heinzler and Bethany Nelson, Co-Chairs of the Adult Selection Committee, and for the books on the kids and teen list from Tegan Beese, State Library Youth Services Consultant. And you'll get ideas for ways you can spotlight them in your library and your community. We'll be looking at new resources provided for the shortlist titles and using them to spotlight ways you can use books to develop all kinds of programming at your library.
