The webinar will be held from 10:30 a.m. until noon and is designed to help library staff, trustees and community discussion leaders plan a discussion of the 2017 All Iowa Reads (AIR) selection, "Bottomland" by Michelle Hoover.
The announcement was made by Helen Dagley, Iowa Center for the Book Coordinator, at Friday’s Iowa Library Association Conference luncheon.
The 2016 National Book Festival was recently held in Washington D.C. on Sept. 24. Helen Dagely, Coordinator of the Iowa Center for the Book, and Emily Bainter, Communications Specialist for the State Library, traveled to the Nation’s Capital to represent Iowa at the Pavilion of States.
The Antelope Lending Library, from Iowa City, will receive the 2016 Iowa Literacy Award from the Iowa Center for the Book at an award ceremony on Friday, Oct. 7.
The children’s book by Sharelle Byars Moranville has been selected by the Iowa Center for the Book as Iowa’s title for the 2016 National Book Festival’s Discover Great Places through Reading Map.
