Kenton Thoms
Dear Jerry Spinelli,
Through out your book, you have helped me through peer presure. When my friend said, "Come on Kenton come into the hallway (this was at a summer camp). Kind of like when Beans and the gang said, "Come on Palmer tree stump DorOthy." Another time my friend said, "If you don't do this I wont be your friend." Like when Mutto said, "If you don't be a wringer we wont be your friend."
In your book when Palmer spit on the floor because he didn't want to go home, it made me want to fly off my chair. That kind of reminded me of something that happened to me in my life. One time I had to go to cub scouts, even though I didn't want to, I still had to go. I know how Palmer felt to spit on the floor. So I know how badly we both didn't want to.
All your characters in your book have helped me through a lot of peer pressure.
Thank you so much for that opportunity.
Sincerely,
Kenton Thoms
