Dear Dori Hillestad Butler,
 
Your book Do You Know the Monkey Man has made a difference in my life.  After reading the book it made me think ahead.

Before I read your book, I just read the words with a little thought.  Your book made me think and question the whole way through.  I had more feelings as I read your book.  I felt mad when the dad lied about the drowning and took Sarah.  I wondered why he took Sarah instead of Sam.  It felt like I was there, because I could see what the girls looked like.  I also felt happy after Sam went to Minnesota and found out that her sister was alive.  I thought it was wrong when Sam went behind her mom’s back and went to Minnesota and Sam lied to Angela about what Sam’s mom said about going to Minnesota.

All lot of books have changed the way I think, but your has the most because the book made me think ahead.
