Dear Kate DiCamillo,

When I read your book “A Tail of Despereaux,” it made me think of what it would be like to live back in that time.  I would love to see the towns, and how people worked lived, and spent their time.   It made me think what life is really about.

The book made me sad, happy and scared.  Why did it make me fell those emotions?  Because at parts of the book when Princes Pea got taken away and Despereaux went to find her in the dongen – What Despereaux saw there.
 
What I learned when I read this book is if you put your mind to things you can acomples any thing!

I learned that you don’t have to be like everyone else.  You just have to you!
