Dear Graham Mcneill,

Your book, Heldenhammer- The Legend of Sigmar opened my eyes to a new understanding. I had always thought that one person could do something important, or good. That was it, though. One person couldn't change much. One person can't tackle the problem of Global Warming, or the pollution in major countries, or our economic disaster. It's just too much on their plate- like an ant trying to wrestle an elephant and win by pin-fall. Like Sigmar taking on all of the Venom Head Clan on his own, and coming out victorious.

This book taught me something very important. Something that could change a life forever. Something so simple- it only takes a few words to say. Three, to be exact.

I was wrong. One person can make a difference. One stubborn person who believes in what they are doing can do anything. Did Sigmar wage war against the Venom Head Clan single handedly and come out victorious? No. He did something even better. He united all of the righteous races of man together, and took on all of the orcs. Was it easy? No. He had to risk his life more than once, but he came through.

That is just like our life now. If just one stubborn, determined person believes in what they are doing enough, we can get back on our feet. One child brave enough to speak out can unite his town- then the county- then the state- then the nation- then the world. One child's stubborn attitude can solve Global Warming. Can fix pollution. Can get the USA back on their feet, economically. Can save the world. No- he or she can't do it on their own- but they can tip the first domino. Can be the first domino.

Thank you for not giving up on being an author. Your story of defeat- then finally victory has inspired me, as well. If you had given up, just taken the easy way out, then Heldenhammer would never have been published ... And if Heldenhammer wasn't published, then I, would still be blind.

Determined to make a difference~ Sam Calonkey
