Dear Erin Hunter,
I'm finding my way in life, after reading your book series Seekers it's a lot easier. As a kid I don't have to worry about what I'm going to do with my life, so I don't worry yet. Seekers was kind of a glimpse into the future for me. Each bear in your book Kallik, Lusa, and Toklo were all on their own for a while. Then they found true friends to get them through rough times. This is like in life when I don't know what I'm going to do with my life, and sometimes I'll feel all alone. Then true friends will help me get through the rough times.
In your books I also learned to trust friends. Like when Toklo was trapped in a truck, and the truck crashes. Kallik, Lusa, and Ujurak run to find him and save him, even though "flat-faces" or humans ran off with him. It shows true friendship and it proves that they are loyal friends forever. I was in awe when I read that part. I wasn't willing to trust my life to my friends before I read this, but now I feel that my true friends would fight for me and be with me to the end and I would fight for them and with them to the end. They are my loyal friends forever. Thanks for letting me find a way to trust my friends even more.
Also in your books I learned that you have to fight for what you need. For example when Kallik's brother wants to steal food from the brown bears, because the polar bears don't have enough food. Kallik's brother and his posse keep telling her to stop following them; she keeps trying and eventually convinces her brother to realize what he is doing and how much of a jerk he is being. This is like in life when I'm an adult and my parents aren't caring for me anymore and I have to work really hard for a living. Your book made me change like the characters in your story.
Thanks so much for writing your awe-inspiring book!
