Dear, Gary Mack

I am a very athletic person at my school and in my community.  I play many sports such as; soccer, baseball, basketball, and golf.  As I got farther in your book Mind Gym it made me think of my own game, my faults, and how I could improve them.  Now I meet every challenge that comes my way with a "can do" attitude instead of my old habits of doubting my self or my team. I make sure that anything that I think or say to myself or teammates is always positive and uplifting. My soccer coach has even talked to me about my new mindset and has our whole team reading the book. I have now found ways to win in my past games or matches with my new mindset.

Visualizing what I want to happen has only enhanced my new born love for sports. I have learned to do it often during games and while waiting for a free kick or my turn to putt. I have lately taken it to a new level, by not just seeing the ball drop through the hoop in basketball. But I now hear the ball hit the net and feel the emotion of making the basket, along with seeing it go through. From doing this in my season of basketball this year I have raised my free throw percentage by eleven percent.

The book has changed my outlook on sports and the way I love them. This was my favorite book in which I have read many times. I now feel like I can do anything with a soccer ball at my feet, that feeling is the greatest in the world to me. I feel now that I am a better person and athlete in life after have reading this. I hope one day that I will have a positive affect on young athletes as you have.
