Cole Muehring

Dear J.K. Rowling,

Your book has inspired me in many ways. Ever since I read the first book in the Harry Potter series, I've been driven to read more. I learned to stand up to my fears and think about my future. From the very first chapter, I became a captivated reader wanting to find out what happens next.

I wonder if I want to use the Sorcerer's Stone and live forever or not and die at the end of my life. If I use the Sorcerer stone when I'm young, I'll stay young for the rest of my life. If I take it when I'm old, I'll have to live with pains in my entire body. I'd rather take it when I'm forty- five. I wouldn't have to live with pains in my back or when I take my grandchildren to fish with me I won't look like them.

I think it'll be better if I don't use its power. When I die I'll get to see those who passed away when I was growing up.

I'm a shy person. Harry Potter taught me to say "hi" to people I don't know. Harry Potter also taught me to make new friends. That's how I got my best friend. Now I'm more capable of saying "hello" to people I don't know. I'm driving off to my next adventure.

Sincerely,
Cole
