Iowa Center for the Book Names New Foundation Directors
The Iowa Center for the Book has applied for nonprofit status for its new foundation. "The ICB foundation will work to promote the Center's purpose which is to stimulate public interest in books, reading, literacy and libraries," said Dale Ross, President of the new organization. "Enriching current programs such as All Iowa Reads and Letters About Literature and funding new projects such as a traveling history of the book exhibit will be our focus as the Foundation begins its work to raise funds."
And the All Iowa Reads 2013 winner is "The Year We Left Home!"
The All Iowa Reads selection for 2013 is Jean Thompson's "The Year We Left Home."
