Comments from the author about writing:
I have written or edited sixteen books on a variety of historical and archival topics. My primary interest has been in the history of American Catholicism and parochial education as well in the history of the U.S. presidency and vice presidency. In addition to these books, I also have written widely for newspapers and professional journals. Crafting each work has been a joy and seeing my name in print on a well-written essay or book provides a level of satisfaction that is indescribable.
