Pen Name: Berinn Rae

Comments from the author about writing: Berinn Rae is a speculative fiction author of romantic fantasy, urban fantasy and dystopian steampunk. She was raised on a farm in Ryan, Iowa where she boasted the town’s largest (and only) comic book collection, and she’s still addicted to stories where the good guy gets his girl and the bad guy gets his due. An obsessive reader and a compulsive daydreamer, it was only a matter of time before Berinn fell in love with writing stories about strong heroines in a world that is just a little 'more' than the one we live in. She writes every chance she gets (in her comfy recliner at home with a heavy rock iTunes playlist going and scented candles burning), and when her netbook isn’t handy, she carries her faithful Moleskine journal with her everywhere.

Berinn now lives in Des Moines with her husband and an incredibly spoiled sixty-pound lap dog. When she’s not writing, Berinn works with companies to become best in class. She has an MPA from Drake University, a BA from University of Northern Iowa, and is a graduate of West Delaware High School. She flies a decent airport pattern and throws a very bad game of darts.
