Parrott, Timothy C.
Comments from the author about writing: Being the grandson of a local cemetery superintendent, and having spent a great deal of time wandering among the grave markers and reading the often fascinating inscriptions as a child, I always wondered what interesting stories the people buried beneath them could tell. Then, after gaining over 30 years of experience as the family genealogist, I decided to research some of these mysteries buried in Iowa City's Oakland Cemetery. I started with the infamous Black Angel monument, and then moved on to "resurrect" a couple more eccentric characters from Iowa City's past. These three short biographies represent the first three installment of the "Enigma Series," which I hope to continue.
