Comments from the author about writing: I started writing because I wanted to do something mentally challenging. My manuscript was written in my car - before going to work, during lunch breaks, waiting on children, etc. After each edit, I would read a couple of books to improve my skills, and then edit again. I edited compulsively, but for me, that was necessary to get the finished product I wanted. I enjoyed seeing where my mind would lead the characters. I didn't know until we got there together.
