Comments from the author about writing: I have "written" before I ever knew how to write my ABCs. I crafted stories day after day to tell to my dolls and teddy bears. Once I entered grade school and began to actually learn how to form my letters and those letters became words, a whole new area was opened to me. I put pen to paper at every spare moment I had. Later, when my older brother entered high school, he was given a manual typewriter for Christmas. Needless to say, I was in heaven. I used that typewriter way more than he ever thought about using it. My love for the written word continued and I sold my first article to a parents' magazine at the age of 21. What a euphoric feeling that was! Every time I see my name on the cover of a book, that feeling returns.
