Comments from the author about writing: Writing is an outlet for me to express emotions in a fun and creative way. As a mother of four children and registered nurse with experience in the pediatric population, my world is just full of story book ideas. Kids come with a natural source of humor, appreciation for life and innocence. It is through a story that a child can fully understand a situation or feeling. Inspiration to start putting my thoughts on paper came through the journey of watching my youngest son struggle with speech. Books were the primary tool his speech educators used to enhance his understanding of the written word. By pointing to pictures, sounding out vowels and connecting a story to his life made a remarkable impact in his development. Writing is truly a joy and the publishing process has been an experience that is humbling and I've appreciated every second of it. The best part so far, is watching both parent and child enjoy my stories and connect with each other through laughter. Laughter is a powerful emotion that creates bonds and can teach valuable lessons at the same time.
MOMSTER is my first published book and I am so excited to share it with readers. This story, told with humor and accompanied with amazing illustrations from handpicked artist, Peter Mahr, promises pure delight to the reader. Anything that can make children and parents laugh together will build their relationship and bond. There are two sides to every story, as the old saying goes and MOMSTER will shed light on both sides through a witty and frightful tale.
The most important message in MOMSTER is how powerful an apology can be. After mom morphs into a MOMSTER, it is through forgiveness that she alters back into her delightful self. Through mother’s transformation a lesson is learned and an alliance is formed. Any book titled “MOMSTER” should evoke a little well-placed fear in the heart of the reader.
