Comments from the author about writing: I am a resident of Council Bluffs, IA. I was a cast member in the national Broadway tour of The Phantom of the Opera for 12 years, touring the U.S. and Canada. I am also an accomplished bronze sculptor. While I was the Artist in Residence (2013) at the Fontenelle Forest in Bellevue, NE, I wrote  and illustrated a rhyming book, The Chorus of the Forest, as a part of the Smithsonian sponsored GREEN REVOLUTION. The book is the companion piece to a permanent sculpture that I created for the Fontenelle during this residency, of the two main characters. Themes in the book include "listening to your smart inner voice" as well as an entertaining, informative look at "why we don't take things (animals, birds and plants) from the forest." The book has had successful book signings at the Fontenelle Forest, Bookworm and Le Wonderment. The Omaha Public Library liked it so much that they bought 10 copies and have asked me to be part of a lecture series for adults about my experience writing and publishing the book. You can learn more about the book, the sculptures and the overall process of imagining, creating and completing these projects for the Fontenelle Forest at

Are you willing to do programs for schools, libraries, or other groups? Yes

If you are willing to do programs, will you charge a fee? I would be willing to negotiate fees with individual schools, libraries or other interested/applicable entities. Gasoline and other travel related expenses would need to be covered. Some fees could be underwritten by the Iowa West Foundation.
