Comments from the author about writing: I have been writing most of my life--teaching materials as a secondary teacher, and test materials and items as a test developer. But fiction has always been my first love and retirement has allowed me to focus on that. I started on "Bats and Bones" when I couldn't find a light mystery involving camping and state parks. It takes place in a fictitious state park loosely based on Maquoketa Caves. The second book in the series, "The Blue Coyote," is nearing completion. I outline the story before I start but only find out what is really going to happen as I write it, which is half the fun.

Are you willing to do programs for schools, libraries, or other groups? Yes
If you are willing to do programs, will you charge a fee? No fees. I was a teacher and on the local library board and I know how little money schools and libraries have.
