Barker, Ethel D.

Comments from the author about writing: In October, 2012, Ice Cube Press of North Liberty, Iowa, published my first book, For the Love of Pete: An Orphan Train Story. We market the book to Young Adults, although many adults and younger children have also enjoyed the book. I have visited grade schools. For the Love of Pete takes place in 1880 and tells a bit of Iowa and American history having to do with the orphan trains that I feel should be told. The genre is historical fiction.
