Howard, Delia
Comments from the author about writing:
All of my ideas in writing for middle grade readers (ages 10 to 14) have been inspired by bits and pieces from history--old letters, newspaper articles, or historical photographs. In my presentations for young readers, I try to bring fascinating pieces of history alive by showing the trail of primary sources that I've followed to create my stories.
