Comments from the author about writing:  

I write for an approximate age range of 9-12, but have been told by readers that my work has an "all ages" appeal. My debut novel was Realistic Fiction, and my next one would fall more into the Mystery genre. I love the process, and approach writing as a way to photograph with words the many things that inspire me -- images, life experiences, and so on -- and frame them with context both real and imagined. I love sharing about this process, and especially enjoy passing along some of my zeal for the written word to young people, as well as adults.
