Comments from the author about writing: I am an environmental and social activist writer. I spend a great deal of my day writing in my journal after spending time listening to "folk" visit and observing the natural environment. I grew up in the Catskill Mountains of New York and draw from my experiences in rural New York to share observations of life and humanity. I hope to help people connect with nature, a greater sense of community and to know and understand what we term as "a greater sense of place". My books are illustrated by well known east coast artists and combine the beauty of the mountains, the prairie and the wild with essay and poetry.

Are you willing to do programs for schools, libraries, or other groups? Yes
If you are willing to do programs, will you charge a fee? My fees are negotiable. I generally present with my wife who is a children's author. We often combine our "time" working with people of all ages. The typical school fee would be $200.00 for approximately 6 sessions per day. The presentation fee generally relates to the specific type of presentation required. I am most comfortable with smaller groups, under 40 participants, and require some type of participation by the audience.
