Comments from the author about writing:  I write fantasy novels and short stories. I have taught creative writing classes to honors

students at the University of Iowa and Cornell College, and honors seminar classes on fantasy and science fiction literature and on the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. My approach to writing is to write with joy and to embrace the fun and adventure in reading and writing.
