I write fantasy novels and short stories. I have taught fantasy and science fiction creative writing classes to honors students at the University of Iowa, and honors seminar classes on fantasy and science fiction literature and on the work of J.R.R. Tolkien. My approach to writing is to write with joy and to embrace the fun and adventure in reading and writing.
