I enjoy writing because I am able to give the common everyday person an opportunity to have a voice. I also like to use my camera to tell stories through pictures. My interest is in Iowa travel and in capturing the beauty of this state. Iowa's Tradition: An ABC Photo Album of the Iowa State Fair was born after I met my wife and Iowa author, Debbie Tindle Parker, at the 2003 Iowa State Fair. Her family has camped at the fair for more than 30 years. Her love with the fair mixed with my desire to capture a slice of Iowa resulted in the production of our first book on one of Iowa's deep-rooted traditions.
