I am a compulsive reader and writer. When I'm not writing, I'm reading. Most of the fifty books that I have written are set in the late 1800's, during WWI, The Great Depression, and WWII. My publisher describes me as "The Voice of the Heartland."

- More than 20 Awards including Best Western Writer of the Year and recognized as Iowa Author of the Year 2006. I have 20 million books in print in 37 different countries and have been translated into 19 different languages.
