Comments from the author about writing:
Blind Faith is a novel about the Roman Catholic clergy sexual abuse crisis as experienced by a young boy and his family in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Since writing Blind Faith, I was privileged to give a sermon in my church about the Christian response to sexual abuse. I would be glad to speak to other faith groups, or tailor the talk for a secular audience as how I would hope the community at large would learn to deal with sexual abuse, which affects at least one in six boys and one in four girls. A girl born today is twice as likely to be sexually abused as she is to get breast cancer, yet society is still reluctant to deal openly with this devastating issue.

- I also won a poetry award when I was ten years old, a long time ago! I was thrilled. My poem was titled, Is God Dead? It was my response to the Time magazine cover that announced the demise of the deity. (Now you can figure out how old I am!)
