Comments from the author about writing:
I have been a fan of Jane Austen and of English history for many years and I found that the story of the characters from Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" had not been followed up in a literary or historical fashion to satisfy me. I realized that I "knew" what had happened after the end of the story and felt compelled to write it. I am now promoting my book and hoping to give a lot of talks about English Regency Era history and literature. The Regency Era is a very dynamic and important, but very short, segment of the history of England and includes the early industrial revolution, the Napoleonic Wars, the War of 1812 and a multitude of changes in society, dress and medicine. I was very pleased when an audience member at one of my talks said afterwards: "It was like a history class-but fun!" I hope that each of my novels will give the reader a satisfying read that makes them eager to keep reading, but also that they will get a feel for the flow and changes of English history.
