Jodie Toohey is the owner and operator of Wordsy Woman Word Sales and Service, a professional writing and editing company helping people say what they want to say through articles, newsletters, web copy, brochures, novels, and poetry. Her first poetry collection, Crush and Other Love Poems for Girls was published in 2008. Her novel Missing Emily: Croatian Life Letters was released in November 2012 and her poetry collection The Other Side of Crazy was published by 918 Studio in September 2013. When Toohey is not writing, she takes classes to earn her Masters of Business Administration degree and volunteers for Midwest Writing Center.
Jodie Toohey will be joined by three friends who will each read a favorite selection from their recent work:
NANCY ANN SCHAEFER teaches at Western Illinois University’s new Riverfront Campus. Her poems have appeared in a number of journals and anthologies. In Search of Love (918 Studio) is her first chapbook.
ROBIN THRONE’s poetry, creative nonfiction, and research have appeared in several literary and academic publications. I was there once (918 Studio) is a chapbook of her poetry and prose.
ELLEN TSAGARIS is a college professor, blogger, doll curator, and a lifelong poet. Sappho is her first poetry collection. Ellen also teaches various creative writing workshops for the Midwest Writing Center.
