Join us as we celebrate National Novel Writing Month at the Oskaloosa Public Library! We've invited three authors of middle grade and young adult novels to come and share about their books and their writing processes. The Author Night will be Tuesday, November12 at 6:30 p.m. in Meeting Room A on the third floor of the library.
Here's a bit about the three authors:
Wendy Delsol is the author of the young-adult trilogy: Stork (2010), Frost (2011), and Flock (2012). Stork received a 2010 VOYA Perfect Ten and a 2011 Westchester Fiction Award. Her adult contemporary novel, The McCloud Home for Wayward Girls (2011), was an August 2011 Barnes and Noble “Pick of the Week.”
Brian Farrey is the author of the The Vengekeep Prophecies, which received a starred review from Publishers Weekly. His latest book, The Shadowhand Covenant, sequel to The Vengekeep Prophecies was released in October. His debut YA novel, With or Without You, was published by Simon Pulse in 2011 and named a Stonewall Honor book by the American Library Association and won the Minnesota Book Award for Young People’s Literature.
Kelly Barnhill is the author of the action packed fantasy novel, Iron Hearted Violet and the Amazon Best Book of the Month in August 2011, The Mostly True Story of Jack, as well as a numerous short stories in various publications.
