Joyce Godwin Grubbs is a member of Romance Writers of America and Mystery Writers of America. Her experience with underground relocation and protection services for victims of rape/sexual assault and domestic violence was vital preparation for writing her novels. She has completed eleven suspense novels (real cases fictionalized to protect the identities of those involved). They are stand-alone stories, though known collectively as the Greyhound Lady Walking series. Her most recent book is her only nonfiction: Footsteps Out of Darkness: The Annabelle Kindig Story, about two little girls who were abducted many years ago in Colorado.
