The Great Iowa Book Event features 42 Iowa authors in a variety of genres who will be autographing their latest releases. In addition, the group (TRRA) will offer "gently" used books for sale as well as magazines, VHS videotapes, DVD's, cassettes, and CDs. As a fundraiser for the writers' group there will be a silent auction and raffles of various book-themed baskets. A separate raffle for a bi-plane ride will also be part of the fun. The event will be held at Bridge Court in Merle Hay Mall in Des Moines, IA.
