Every year, on the 4th of July, the Ely Fire Fighters come in early to cook breakfast. It is served in the firehouse where the fire trucks are usually kept. They sell tickest to raffle off donated items, and finish then day with the annual 4th of July Parade.
People either arrive early or stand in line for hours, to eat this low cost, all you can eat breakfast. They usually serve up pancakes, eggs, sausage and bacon. This one event provides the main funding for the Ely Fire Department. This is a great cause and a fun way to spend the 4th! I have agreed to donate an autographed copy for the raffle.
I encourage everyone to find a way to support your local community this 4th of July!
I will have a table directly across from the Firehouse in Ely, Iowa. This will allow you to meet the author, and buy the book. Free autograph for books
