The All Iowa Reads Committee has added three new members as one departs.
Evan Anderson, Collection Development Librarian at Kirkendall Public Library in Ankeny is departing from the committee. “We would like to thank Evan for his service on the All Iowa Reads committee and wish him well in his future endeavors,” said Iowa Center for the Book Coordinator Helen Dagley.
Three new members have joined the committee to fill Anderson’s and two other vacant slots, including Jillian Rutledge, Information Services Librarian at the Waverly Public Library; Jill Gray Martinez, Library Director of the Charles City and Rockford Public Libraries; and Bruce Gilbert, Director of Library Operations and Technology at the Drake University Cowles Library. The new members’ terms will be through 2018.
The All Iowa Reads committee is comprised of 10 members appointed by the State Librarian of Iowa for two-year renewable terms that begin in January of the appointment year. Two permanent members include the Iowa Center for the Book Coordinator and the State Library Communications Specialist.
