Sherrie Hansen, local Iowa author, has released her fourth book, Merry Go Round. She will be at the Thompson Public Library on July 13, 2011 to sign books.
From the author:
"Hansen's books reflect her fascination with small, Midwestern towns, old-fashioned love stories, and family dynamics.
Merry Go Round is set in fictional Maple Valley, patterned after Osage, IA, Red Oak, patterned after Austin, MN, and Blooming Prairie, MN. It is the third of a trilogy about three sisters that follows Stormy Weather, and Water Lily. Tracy is the youngest sister, the one about whom the mother regularly says, 'Why can't you be more like Tracy? Tracy never gives me this kind of trouble!' When Tracy is forced to move out of the parsonage and create a new life for herself and her three children, she has no where to turn to for help but to her older sisters. While Rachael is not particularly sympathetic, kindhearted Michelle offers Tracy a job painting and papering Barclay Alexander III's vintage arts and crafts home. Merry Go Round is rich in local color, with several scenes that include Rachael, Michelle and other familiar characters."
