- All Iowa Reads Book Discussion: Digging to America
- The Solon Area Book Club will meet to discuss the 2008 All Iowa Reads selection, Digging to America by Anne Tyler, at the Solon Public Library on September 17, 2008 at 6:30 p.m. This meeting is open to anyone interested in joining the discussion.

- Awards Ceremony Held for Iowa LAL Winners
- Fourteen students, their families, teachers and friends gathered at the State Library on April 25 to read their letters and receive their awards for the 2008 Letters About Literature program.
