Book Buzz: All Iowa Reads in Ames

Monday, July 14 at 7pm, Ames Public Library Community Room; Wednesday, July 30 at 3pm, Café Diem; Monday, August 4 at 10am, Chocolaterie Stam; Thursday, August 7 at 1pm, Hastings Entertainment. Come to a book discussion featuring this year's All Iowa Reads selection, "Digging to America" by Anne Tyler, moderated by Ames Public Library staff. All Iowa Reads is a program of the Iowa Center for the Book, State Library of Iowa. The purpose of All Iowa Reads is to encourage Iowans statewide to read and talk about a single title in the same year.

ALL IOWA READS BOOK DISCUSSION

Linda Halverson will lead a discussion of "Digging to America" by Anne Tyler on Wednesday, August 6, at 7 p.m. in the Program Room of the Bettendorf Public Library, 2950 Learning Campus Drive, Bettendorf, Iowa. Ms. Halverson is Regional Director for Lifelink, a multi-service organization which specializes in international adoptions. Books funded by the Friends of the Bettendorf Public Library will be available for loan on a first-come basis at the Information Desk starting July 1. Additional questions? Call 563-344-4175.

All Iowa Reads

Iowa Valley Continuing Education is hosting two opportunities for All Iowa Reads-Digging to America by Anne Tyler. Both sessions are open to the public, and there is no charge. Interested persons need to pre register by contacting Lorraine White at 641-752-4745 x5606 or Lorraine.White@iavalley.edu. The first discussion is Wednesday June 18th, 2008 from 9-11 a.m. and the second discussion is Wednesday, July 9th, from 6-8 p.m. Both discussions will be in Room 105.
