Nitro Sock Saves Des Moines

The infamous RAYGUN T-Shirt folks Mike Draper and John Bosley have written another wonderfully quirky book, this time for children. In "A Spaceman Who Lived in Des Moines," Superhero Nitro Sock saves the capital city from flying robots. "Draper's droll, spare wit superimposed on a backdrop of Des Moines architectural wonders perfectly illustrated by Bosley, will delight both children and adults, said Robin Martin, Coordinator for the Iowa Center for the Book.

"We had a good time putting it together, and are working on another for Kansas City," wrote Mike. The making of the book from story, to script, to photos, to final illustrations is fascinating in itself.
